A striking large-format original by Luis Royo, depicting a wounded female warrior reclining upon a tomb above the bloodied skull of a horned creature. The painting was published as an interior illustration in Malefic Time: Apocalypse, the first volume of the Malefic Time project by Luis and Romulo Royo, published by Norma Editorial in December 2011.

Completed in 2006, the work exemplifies Royo's celebrated combination of dark fantasy, gothic imagery, sensuality and highly rendered figurative painting.
