Original Spanish movie poster artwork by celebrated Barcelona illustrator Josep Soligó for the 1967 Spanish theatrical release of Ishirō Honda's Mothra vs. Godzilla, released in Spain under the title Godzilla contra los monstruos. The film was originally produced by Toho in 1964 and represents the fourth film in the Godzilla series and the first cinematic confrontation between Godzilla and Mothra. Spain's official film records document the Spanish theatrical release in 1967.

Soligó's work celebrated American artist Reynold Brown's advertising campaign. When American International Pictures released the movie in the United States as Godzilla vs. the Thing in 1964, legendary American illustrator Reynold Brown created the campaign artwork. Rather than reveal Mothra, the advertising deliberately presented Godzilla's opponent as an unidentified monstrous “Thing,”.

The Spanish title Godzilla contra los monstruos in the center, creating a striking combination of American monster-movie imagery and Soligó's distinctive Spanish poster design.

The relationship between the two campaigns makes the artwork especially interesting: it represents a Spanish artist's hand-painted imagery originally conceived by Reynold Brown, one of the most important American movie-poster illustrators of the twentieth century.

Josep Soligó Tena (1910–1994) was one of the foremost Spanish movie-poster artists of the twentieth century. Based in Barcelona, he worked for Hispano Foxfilm for approximately twenty-five years, as well as producing work for other major distributors. Spanish institutional material places him alongside artists such as Jano and Mac among the leading figures of Spain's classic movie-poster tradition.

His extensive film-poster work encompassed major Hollywood productions including Niagara, Titanic, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Snows of Kilimanjaro, Dial M for Murder, River of No Return, The Egyptian, The Robe, The Diary of Anne Frank, North to Alaska and Let's Make Love. More than 200 of his poster designs remain documented in specialist archives.
