Original painted double-page splash from Kevin Eastman and Simon Bisley’s The Melting Pot. First published across pages 10–11 of Melting Pot #2 in 1994, the artwork was subsequently reprinted as pages 58–59 of the 1995 collected graphic novel.
The dystopian battle scene depicts ground forces being devastated by a colossal airborne warship. Kevin Eastman provided the underlying structural pencils, with Simon Bisley executing the finished painted artwork. Heritage has previously auctioned this exact piece and specifically records those respective contributions.
The #2 material was also subsequently reprinted in a German edition of Melting Pot #2 in 2000, giving the image an additional international publication.
