Simon Jacob is a British comic artist and illustrator particularly associated with 2000 AD during the late 1980s and 1990s. His work for the title included Robo-Hunter, and he collaborated with Mark Millar on The Robotic Revenge of Dr Robotski. Jacob had previously illustrated the Robo-Hunter story “The Succubus” and subsequently worked on “Fax and Deductions” for the 1994 2000 AD Sci-Fi Special.
The original Robo-Hunter strip was created by John Wagner and developed visually principally by Ian Gibson, becoming one of 2000 AD's best-known humorous science-fiction strips. The 1990s revival introduced a new generation of writers and artists to Sam Slade, with Jacob's distinctive painted work forming part of that later period.
